Chicago Fire FC New Training Facility: Endeavor Health Performance Center

Construction is nearing its end on Chicago Fire’s new $80 million training facility built on 23-acres in the Roosevelt Square neighborhood on Chicago’s Near West Side. The new complex named after Chicago medical group Endeavor Health, was designed by Crawford Architects and is being built by general contractor, Pepper Construction.

The new “world-class” center includes two and a half hybrid grass/turf pitches, three synthetic turf pitches, a 10,000-square-foot inflatable dome and a 56,000-square-foot performance center containing the soccer club’s athletic and medical facilities. The center features a gym with a 40-meter running track, sauna, cryotherapy and recovery rooms, hydro pools, and a nutrition bar to enhance player performance and recovery. It also includes locker rooms, equipment storage, a cafeteria, laundry facilities, offices, training spaces, a cutting-edge game analysis room, conference rooms, classrooms, a parking area, and a media room—everything necessary for the team's operations on-site.

LVS is providing the technology for the campus, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security throughout. The overall structured cabling infrastructure will connect the facility through the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and feed connectivity via fiber to two Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF) within the building, the field crew building, and soccer fields to ensure seamless communication throughout the campus. The cabling infrastructure will allow for wireless connectivity using over 85 wireless access points using a Cat6A solution for ample bandwidth.

The structured cabling infrastructure will support the campus’ overall security system of video surveillance, access control, intercom/door entry, and emergency call stations to ensure overall safety. The campus will be monitored by over 90 Hanwha IP cameras providing video feed to the monitoring platform by Avigilon. Also utilizing Avigilon’s technology, the access control system will ensure appropriate access for personnel in various parts of the campus with 40 access control readers and the use of biometric readers. Throughout the exterior, Code Blue emergency call stations are being put in place to ensure public safety in the case of an emergency.

LVS also provided audiovisual solutions for the facility’s meeting rooms and TV displays for team meetings, video conferencing, presentations, and reviewing game footage.

LVS is proud to be involved with this project working with Pepper Construction and Vader National Electric to bring the overall connectivity and security to this world class training facility for Chicago Fire FC.
